FG-EC Digital Water Sensing Cable
This sensing cable is available in pre-terminated lengths of 3, 7 and 15 metres. The FG-EC sensing cables provide digital localization when in distance mode.
Each FG-EC sensing cable is fitted with an electronic chip in one of its pre-terminated ends. Which manages the following functions:
- Detects and localizes the leak of any liquid to the nearest metre along the entire length of the cable.
- Addressing the sensing cable.
- Detects and localizes any cut or interruption on the cable.
- Digital transmission of all cable length data to the FG-SYS digital unit.
The male and female connectors at the end of each length of FG-EC cable give immediate and dependable connection. Special fixing clips are used to fasten the sense cables in the chosen areas.
A set of Belden 8723 jumper cables and pre-finished connection accessories gives continuity to each circuit.
FG-ECS Sector Water Sensing Cable
The sensing cable is connected to either the analogue alarm FG-A control unit or the FG-SYS digital control unit when used with a DTCS interface box. It detects the presence of conductive liquids.
- Cable detects the leak of liquid to the nearest metre along the entire length of the cable.
- Detects any cut or interruption in the cable.
FG-ECX Analogue Water Sensing Cable
The sensing cable detects the presence of water and base; It is connected to the FG-A analogue alarm unit. The cable acts immediately in the event of any leaks of liquids.
The FG-ECX sensing cable performs the following functions:
- Detects the leak of any liquid along the entire length of the cable.
- Detects any cut or interruption in the cable.
- Transfers default information to FG-A.
The male and female connectors at the end of each length of FG-ECX cable give immediate and dependable connection.
FG-SENSOR
The FG-SENSOR ensures permanent protection in areas at risk. The Digital Sensor is installed to provide the best possible protection in order to cover risks and limit the financial consequences of an undetected leak.
The FG-SENSOR performs the following functions:
- Detects the leak with the digital unit FG-SYS
- Detects any cut or interruption in the cable.
The electrical continuity is made with a length of Belden jumper cable connected to various FG-SENSOR and the digital unit. Pre-pressed PG knockouts of appropriate size on the diversion box sides make jumper cabling quick and easy. IP 67 is the protection rating, which keeps dust and water out of the FG-SENSOR.
FG-AC Acid Sensing Cable
Each FG-AC sensing cable is fitted with an electronic chip at one of its ends. This manages the following functions:
- Detects and localizes the leak of acid liquid to the nearest metre along the entire length of the cable.
- Detects and localizes any cut or interruption on the cable.
- Digital transmission of all cable length data to the FG-SYS digital unit.
The male and female connectors at the end of each length of FG-AC cable, gives immediate and dependable connections.
Special fixing clips are used to fasten the sense cables in the chosen areas.
A set of Belden jumper cables and pre-finished connection accessories gives continuity to each circuit.
Operation of the detection system is facilitated by the FG-AC sensing cable’s short drying time.
FG-HC2 Hydrocarbon & Solvents Sensing Cable
The FG-HC2 sensing cable comes in a standard and prefinished length of 2 m.
FG-HC2 is light, flexible and protected by a tinned-copper braiding. The sensing cable is made with two helically extruded copper conductors twined around a central core.
When a leak appears on the FG-HC2 sensing cable, the nonconductive liquid seeps under the mass braiding and causes variations in the electrical values that typify the detector cable. Rapid detection is triggered electrically.
The sensing cable will not detect a water leak or any residual part of non-conductive liquids, such as hydrocarbons and solvents. Nevertheless, the installation must be done in a safe and dry location.
After a leak detection, the sensing cable must be replaced; with its male and female plugs, it is easy to remove. The electronic module will stay in good condition in its original location.
A termination plug ends the circuit; a test termination plug is included with the hydrocarbon detection set, in order to simulate a leak once the new sensing cable has been installed. A set of neutral cables and diversion boxes ensures the modular aspect of the system: 10 lengths of sensing cables can be connected to the same circuit with an FG-SYS digital unit. |
