Mini AquaTek and AquaTek+Plus
The Mini AquaTek is an entry level ‘black box’ miniature Water Leak Detection Alarm designed as stand-alone module to provide an alarm signal to a Building Management System or other Remote Alarms. This unit can be linked to a nursecall type alarm systems and could be the ‘sensor module’ for ‘wireless’ or ‘SMS’ Water Detection Systems.
The more comprehensive AquaTek+Plus is fitted with an LED Alarm Indicator, an internal Sounder and an external Mute Button. The AquaTek+Plus can also be provided with an extra loud sounder in a twin-gang housing.
Both AquaTek units can be powered from an external mains power supply, low voltage power supply and, as a separate unit, from a 'PP3' Battery. All units can provide an output signal via optional on-board relay changeover contacts rated 230VAC 2amp.
The AquaTek can be flush mounted in a pattress housing or optionally surface mounted in a single-gang housing. The single-gang housing has rear and sideway knockouts, or can be fitted with standard glands.
The AquaTek is designed to monitor for water leaks from Aqualeak Sensor Cables or Tapes, Sensor Pads, Sensor Probes, and other specialised Aqualeak Sensors. The AquaTek module would require to be connected to the water detection sensor/s by a Leader Cable.
The Leader Cable distance between the AquaTek and the Sensor/s, or the maximum linear Sensor Cable sensing distance, should not exceed 30m
AquaTek 4
The AquaTek4 is an entry level Water Leak Detection Alarm which offers four separate zones of detection and uses a very safe low voltage 12VDC high impedance field sensing signal to detect the presence of water. Each zone is provided with local audible and visual alarms via zone LED alarm indicators, an internal sounder and an external mute button.
The AquaTek 4 is designed to operate from the standard mains power supply, or from a constant low voltage control power supply, and provides a ‘common alarm’ no-volt output signalling relay rated at 230VAC 8amp with 'normally open/closed' change-over contacts. Optional individual zone signalling relays are also available.
Each zone is provided with individual zone sensitivity adjustment to allow for specific site conditions. When water is detected by the sensor, the indicator illuminates, the horn sounds and the internal signalling relay activates. The horn can be muted by pressing the mute button but the indicator will remain illuminated until the condition clears, when it automatically resets.
The AquaTek 4 is designed to monitor for water leaks from Aqualeak sensor cables or tapes, sensor pads, sensor probes, and other specialised Aqualeak sensors. As all AquaTek modules are entry level economy systems, units are not provided with line monitoring facilities.
The AquaTek 4 system is contained in a plastic housing and units can be provided with IP rating. The AquaTek module would require to be connected to the water detection sensor/s by a leader cable. The leader cable distance between the AquaTek and the sensor/s, or the maximum linear sensor cable sensing distance, should not exceed 30m. The AquaTek 4 Module can also be used to provide ‘common alarm’ water valve shutoff facilities via an optional solenoid valve.
BMS WaterBug and WaterBug +Plus
The BMS WaterBug is a sophisticated liquid leak-detection alarm designed as a stand-alone module which can be powered from mains or low voltage power supplies. WATERBUG units are specifically designed to operate with Building Management Systems (BMS) and have been widely used in Switching Centres, IT Complexes and Telephone Exchanges throughout UK, Europe, USA and Africa.
The WaterBug+Plus additionally has three LED Indicators advising Power On, Leak Alarm, and Line Fault, and also has an internal horn and an external mute button. The audible alarm is activated by any abnormal condition, ‘latches-on’, and is silenced by pressing the mute button. When the mute button is pressed the system will automatically reset, requiring no further operator input, but alarm lights remain on until the condition clears.
The WaterBug water detection circuit uses a bi-directional “alternating current” field sensing signal to ensure that sensors are not subjected to oxidation or erosion during operating conditions. A sensitivity adjustment pot allows on-site adjustment of water detection sensitivity to suit the application. The WaterBug can be powered from the standard mains power supply or from a 12-24V AC/DC supply. A 'No-Volt' output signalling relay is provided rated at 240VAC 2amp with 'Normally Open/Closed' change-over contacts. Additional optional ‘power’ fault relay can signal loss of power and ‘cable fault’ can signal a break in the monitoring line.
The WaterBug is designed to monitor for water leaks from Aqualeak sensor cables or tapes, sensor pads, sensor probes, and other specialised Aqualeak sensors. Leader Cable distance between the WaterBug and the Sensor/s, or the maximum linear sensor cable sensing distance, should not exceed 50m. WaterBug units can fitted directly into plant control panels to prove liquid leak detection in pump rooms, power containers and plant areas. WaterBug’s can be provided complete with a Sensor Pad or Sensor Probes pre-fitted to the base or side of the housing for direct wall/floor mounting in bunds and drip trays.
AquaTraq
AquaTraq water leak detection units were developed to provide great value single-zone security against the ingress of water into areas housing high-technology or high-value equipment and are supplied completely ready for use. All they require is screw fixing to the wall, a local power supply, and connection the sensor. AquaTraq Units can be supplied with optional Battery Backup Pack for 10 hours operation during a mains power failure.
AquaTraq Units operate on the proven Aqualeak principle of utilising an AC field sensing signal to detect water and can monitor from the full range of Aqualeak linear leak detection sensor cables, sensor tape or from multiple water detection sensor probes, sensor pads, overflow/level sensors etc.
Units have three levels of indication; ZONE HEALTHY, ZONE FAULT and WATER DETECTED. An audible alarm is activated by any abnormal condition and is silenced by pressing the mute button. The alarm is designed to automatically reset, requiring no operator input, but alarm lights remain on until the condition clears and this too automatically resets when alarm clears.
The AquaTraq system has two sets of changeover alarm contacts. The ‘Alarm’ relay is for linking to an optional Aqualeak Remote Alarm Unit or to link to a BMS system, to switch sump pumps or solenoid valves, or to shut down process equipment or power supplies etc. The 'Reset' relay can be used by the BMS to ‘time/date stamp’ when the mute button was pressed to indicate when the alarm was acted upon, or to mute an external sounder.
The leader cable distance between the AquaTraq and the sensor/s, or the maximum linear sensor cable sensing distance, should not exceed 50m. The AquaTraq System can also be linked to the optional Aqualeak Automatic Telephone Dialling Unit which telephones remote addresses to advise that the emergency has occurred.
GWD
The GWD range of MultiZone Leak Detection Systems is the latest in continual development of over 25 years on the Aqualeak experience in designing, manufacturing and installing of Water Leak Detection Systems. The GWD continues to offer a 'package' approach to providing numerous unique alarm and remote signalling features as standard. It continues to operate on the proven Aqualeak principle of utilising an AC field sensing signal to detect water in order to avoid the inherent electrolysis, oxidization and erosion problems common to DC systems. The GWD System also continues to monitor from the full range of Aqualeak linear leak detection sensor cables, sensor tape or from multiple water detection sensor probes, sensor pads, overflow/level sensors etc.
The GWD Units are available in three cabinet sizes: 1 to 8, 1 to 16 and 1 to 32 Zone cabinets. The system is based on a 'four zone master PCB' with a 'four zone slave'. This enables the GWD System to be configured for the requisite number of zone required by a specific project, or to be manufactured to the nearest multiple of four. The unit illustrated on the left is a GWD4.
The GWD system operates from standard single phase mains supply and can be supplied with optional Battery Backup Pack for 10 hours operation during a mains power failure. Adjustment Pots are provided for each zone to enable on-site adjustment of detection sensitivity. The System is provided with zone time-out alarm interrogation on water being detected, and on going out of alarm, to minimise false alarms. Each Zone continues to provide active water sensing throughout any Water Detected Alarm and does not go off-line or require any manual operator reset to reactivate the System.
The System is provided with two ‘Common Alarm' no-volt changeover relays which operate on water being detected by any zone. These can be linked to the Aqualeak Remote Repeater Panel, the Aqualeak Autodial Unit, or be linked into a computer based Building Management system, or can be used to shut water supplies via matched solenoid valves, or switch on sump pumps/drainage systems etc. The GWD System can also be supplied with optional Individual Zone Signalling which would provide appropriate zone alarms via individual no-volt changeover relays and Mains Power fault signalling via a further no-volt changeover relay.
OGW
The OGW Environmental Alarm Systems are designed to monitor computer rooms, server rooms, plant rooms or other critical technical areas to provide combined security against damage caused by water leaks, over temperature, over humidity, mains failure, and fire etc. - all in one unit, which can optionally telephone remote locations identifying which alarm has triggered. The OGW Control System is available in three cabinet sizes, 1 to 8 alarms/zones, 1 to 16 alarms/zones and 1 to 32 alarms/zones, and can be made to the specific number of zones required.
The OGW Unit can be used as a single or multizone OVERTEMPERATURE ALARM SYSTEM monitoring from adjustable Tamperproof or Digital Readout Temperature Sensors rated for temperature band 0 to 35°C. HUMIDITY MONITORING would be from adjustable Humidity Sensors rated for humidity band 30-100 %RH. WATER LEAK DETECTION can be provided from either Linear Sensor Cables or Tape, or from Spot Pad or Probe Sensors. Aqualeak manufacture a range of specialised Sensors including OIL LEAK DETECTION Probes. FIRE DETECTION would be from an independent Fire Detection Sensor linked to and powered directly from the OGW Unit. MAINS FAILURE would be monitored from an internal mains failure module.
When any room environmental condition reaches an alarm state, the appropriate zone light on the Controller would illuminate. The horn would sound and can be muted, but the zone light remains on until the alarm is cleared. Two ‘Common Alarm’ relays are provided for remote alarm and shutdown purposes. Optional Individual Zone Signalling Relays, optional Mains Fail Relay and optional Battery Backup is also available.
The Control Unit can be inside or remote to the monitored area and would be linked to the Sensors by Leader Cable. The OGW System can be provided with an optional analogue Autodial which can ring home in the event of problems and advise which alarm has triggered. An optional Repeat Alarm Unit can also be provided to be located remotely to provide audio/visual alarms elsewhere. |
